April 2024, Research Specialist Sara Espinosa Garcia gave an oral presentation on RSV M2-1 at the 17th Southeastern Regional Virology Conference (SERVC 2024) in Atlanta, GA. 

April 2024, High school student researcher Seohyun Park decided to go to Georgia Tech for his college adventure. 

April 2024, High school student researcher Eric Xu received acceptance from Georgia Tech, Emory, Johns Hopkins, and Brown University. 

April 2024, Research Specialist Nicole Rayyan accepted a position in the CDC. 

March 2024, Former undergraduate student and current Research Specialist Nicholas Keung was accepted to the master's program at the University of Southern California (USC), UC San Diego (UCSD), and Columbia University. 

March 2024, Former undergraduate student and current Research Specialist Vu Ngo got multiple graduate school offers from Cornell, Rice, and the University of Michigan, and he decided to go to Michigan for his Ph.D. graduate studies. 

February 2024, Research Specialist John Blankenhorn decided to go to Georgia Tech, our neighbor across the town, to pursue a Ph.D. starting in the fall of 2024. 

December 2023, Paper published. Congratulations to the Liang Lab for their publication in Nature titled “Structures of the promoter-bound respiratory syncytial virus polymerase”. 

September 2023, Paper published. Congratulations to the Liang Lab for their publication in the Journal of Medical Virology titled “Structural basis of the American mink ACE2 binding by Y453F trimeric spike glycoproteins of SARS-CoV-2”. 

July 2023, Congratulations to Vu Ngo on joining the lab as a research specialist.  

June 2023, Congratulations to the Liang Lab for being selected for a sub-award under UNAPP in collaboration with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and Novartis. 

June 2023, Congratulation to Nicholas Keung on joining the lab as a research specialist. 

June 2023, Paper published. Congratulations to the Liang Lab for their publication in Microorganisms  titled In Silico Identification and In Vitro Validation of Repurposed Compounds Targeting the RSV Polymerase”. 

May 2023, Congratulations to Hyunjun (Max) Ahn for being accepted into Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
