Christine is awarded a 5 year NSF CAREER award.

January 2010: MMG graduate student Ginny Vachon rotates in the lab.

Nov 2009: Postdoc Hasan Irier joins the lab from Prof Ray Dingledine’s lab in the Pharmacology Dept at Emory.

October 2009: Christine’s postdoc advisor, Venki Ramakrishnan is awarded the 2009 Nobel prize in Chemistry for his work on ribosome structure and function along with Professors Tom Steitz and Ada Yonath

October 2009: BCDB First year graduate student Katie Williams rotates in the lab.

October 2009: Christine is an invited speaker at the Pittsburgh Diffraction conference in Athens, Georgia.

Sept 2009:
Crys is awarded a NIH training grant slot from the BCDB program!

July 2009: Postdoc Tatsuya Maehigashi joins the lab from Prof Loren Williams lab at Georgia Tech.

June 2009: BCDB second year student Crystal Fagan joins the lab.

May 2009: Christine is an invited speaker at the Mississippi Biophysics Consortium at Mississippi State University in Starksville.

April 2009: Christine convenes a session entitled ‘Ribosome regulation’ at the American Society of Microbiology meeting in Philadelphia.

Jan 2009: Emory undergraduate student Imran Akhtar joins the lab.

October 2008: BCDB First year graduate student Matthew Randolph rotates in the lab.

Sept 2008: Georgia Tech Professor Loren Williams, along with 9 other research groups including the Dunham lab, is awarded a 5 year NASA Astrobiology grant.

Sept 2008: Rachel Erdman begins as a technician in the lab.

June 2008: Christine is an invited speaker at the Mid-Atlantic Crystallography conference in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

April 2008: Christine moves to Emory from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, England.
