December 2016, Moving On: Dr. Emily Kuiper leaves the lab to start her postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Wayne A. Marasco’s group at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Good luck Emily!

August 2014, Other news: Graeme is appointed as Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) for the Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology (BCDB) graduate program.

August 2014, New publication: Jo Linpinsel and Ginny Vachon are first authors on a paper in the JBC revealing the minimal structure of adenovirus VA RNA required to inhibit PKR. Congratulations Jo, Ginny and everyone else involved!

June 2014, Conference presentation: Graduate students Ginny Vachon and Emily Kuiper attend the 2014 RNA Society meeting in Quebec City and present their research.

May 2014, Grant success: an application lead by Dr. William Shafer for a new cross-program NIH T32 grant on “Antimicrobial Resistance and Therapeutic Discovery Training Program (ARTDTP)” is funded! See the ARTDTP website for more details: http://antimicrobialtraining.emory.edu/index.html.

August 2010, Grant Award:  Dr. Conn leads successful application to the National Science Foundation MRI competition for a new automated small cell volume isothermal titration calorimetry instrument (MicroCal Auto-iTC). The new instrument was installed in December.
