Young Investigator Travel Award Information

Criteria:
The Workshop will award support for young investigators and scholars wishing to attend the 11th International Workshop on Radiation Damage to DNA. Selection of Young Investigator Award recipients shall be based on an evaluation of their abstracts and award application. The Workshop will defray the costs of registration and accommodation during the meeting for those who received an award.

Eligibility:
The applicants for Young Investigator Awards should be either currently enrolled in a Ph.D. graduate program or have been awarded their Ph.D. or M.D. within 5 years of the conference date (May 2010). For those applicants with a Ph.D., some preference will be given to those in temporary positions, such as postdoctoral training or research-track junior faculty appointments.

Submission:
The applicants should submit the following documents to the Young Investigator Award Committee by E-mail or regular mail.

1) Completed award application cover sheet [download pdf]
2) Workshop abstract (This abstract is used only for the selection of Young Investigator Award recipients.) The same abstract has also to be submitted separately through the Workshop homepage.
3) A brief CV including affiliation, educational training information and publications
4) A letter of recommendation from the research supervisor or the head of the department or institute
